This Quality and Risk Management Plan (QRMP) ensures a high quality of the work realised and the outcomes in the EACN project as proposed to the European Commission in the corresponding application in response to the COS-CLUSTPARTNS-2017-3-02 call, submitted on 6 March 2018: “EACN – European Automotive Cluster Network for Joint Industrial Modernisation Investments (SEP-210491776)” and co-funded by the COSME Programme of the European Union under the Grant Agreement 821989.
Quality assurance monitors the development of the project and procedures used to ensure high-quality deliverables by preventing mistakes and avoiding problems. It encompasses the entire process and includes identifying, evaluating and managing of potential risks. Selected indicators will help to reach the objectives.

This document is elaborated according to task 2.1: “Drivers and motivators for industrial modernisation in the automotive industry” in the framework of WP2 “Preparatory phase - Joint Partnership Strategy” of the EACN for Joint Industrial Modernisation Investment project. It presents main trends and events having impact on the way global value chains and business models in automotive will evolve. The analysis was provided from October 2018 until February 2019 by way of intelligence gathering based on available market studies, trend analyses, policy papers, sector forecasts, expert opinions. The results of the analysis form the basis for the elaboration of the EACN strategy in line with task 2.2: “EACN Strategy and roadmap development” of the project.
The report includes a profile of the four topics: (1) the virtualisation of processes, (2) the incorporation of robotics and artificial intelligence, (3) the configuration of flexible, modular and adaptable production lines, (4) the development of new employees’ competencies. The report provides answers on the following questions:

As part of the elaborated support service, the Project Partners organized individual audits in identified SMEs in their clusters to define issues under the project topics and potential input (own competencies) and expectations towards the role of other actors (complementary competencies). Tools applied in these audits include: overview of challenges (drivers and motivators for change), questionnaire, project concept template. These reports were the starting point for the matchmaking process.

This Communication and Dissemination Plan establishes the bases of the communication work package (WP7) scheduled in the "European Automotive Cluster Network for Joint Industrial Modernisation Investments" project. It will be used as a guide throughout the whole life of the project.
The document is focused on basic issues, such as the objectives and the target audience we address to the different communication channels used to reach them, the corporate graphic identity of the project, and other topics such as the timing or the role of the communication manager.
